Denise Linford
Denise is a native Montanan who grew up working on her family’s cattle and horse ranch near remote Jordan, Montana. She studied accounting and law at the University of Wyoming, graduating with high honors from both undergraduate and law school. Immediately upon graduation from law school, Denise returned to Montana to be near family and the ranch.
For almost 21 years, Denise practiced law with the large regional law firm, Crowley Fleck PLLP (formerly Crowley, Haughey, Hanson, Toole & Dietrich PLLP), in Billings, Montana. There she gained extensive experience drafting drilling, division order, and acquisition title opinions for oil and gas development, as well as coal and geothermal development. Denise also assisted clients with estate and business planning, probate and trust administration, real estate and other transactions. In addition, she advised financial institutions on regulatory and compliance matters and worked with renewable energy companies developing wind, solar, and geothermal projects. Denise joined Oram & Houghton, PLLC in the summer of 2022 as she and her husband and kids began the move and transition back to live and work on the ranch where she was raised.
Denise enjoys travelling the country with her family for stock shows and horse races, as well as skiing, horseback riding, swimming, and watching rodeos and collegiate sports, especially the Wyoming Cowboys. Go Pokes!
